This student friendly tool combines the I Can ‘levels of support’, the new BC proficiency language (emerging, developing, proficient, exceeding) and the accessible ‘Cats’ scale. Cut apart and laminated, we spread the cards out on a carpeted area as a continuum. Students consider how their work reflects co-created criteria as they place their work on the continuum accordingly. The carpet continuum offers a very tangible starting point for students to reflect and talk about their work and next steps. Can be used individually, in small groups, or whole class. Available in French upon request.
